1. Data controller

Daniel Juraszek, who operates the CompaSpace website in the United Kingdom, is the controller of your personal data. For enquiries about your personal data, please use the contact form.

2. What data do I collect and why?

When you use the contact form, you provide your name, email address, subject and message. I use these details to respond to your enquiry and continue our correspondence. Providing this information is voluntary, but your email address and message are needed to respond.

The website also processes basic connection details, including your IP address, to keep the site running and protect it against misuse.

The legal basis is my legitimate interest in handling correspondence and keeping the website secure (Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR). If your enquiry concerns entering into a contract, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into that contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the UK GDPR).

3. Who receives your data?

Hosting and email service providers and their subcontractors may process your data as needed to provide these services. Data may also be disclosed to authorised bodies where required by law.

These services may involve processing outside the United Kingdom. The providers’ terms include contractual safeguards for international data transfers. You can request information about data recipients and the safeguards used through the contact form.

4. How long is your data kept?

Routine correspondence is kept for six months after our correspondence ends and is then deleted. Data is kept for longer only where needed to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Copies of messages held by the contact form are deleted seven days after they are marked as sent or accepted for sending. Pending messages remain until they have been dealt with or deleted. Service records and backups are subject to the providers’ retention policies.

5. Your rights

Subject to the conditions set out in data protection law, you have the right to access, correct or erase your data, restrict its processing and request data portability. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests.

You can submit a request through the contact form. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

6. Cookies and language preferences

The website uses a temporary cookie to operate and protect the contact form. It does not contain the text of your message and is used during your current browser session.

Your browser also remembers your choice of the Polish or English version when you change the language or open a link specifying a particular version. This preference remains stored until you change your choice or clear the website’s data in your browser. The website also uses your browser’s language to select a language version.

7. Links to other websites

When you follow a link to an external website, that website’s privacy policy applies.
